The jadeite has a long history in Chinese culture. There are about five kinds jade, such as Burma nephrites, hetian jade, dushan antique jade, afhanistan jade and the xiuyu jadeite. During these kinds jades, they are always made in the different shapes, which has the various meanings.

1. Jadeite Color---- there are six common color in the jadeite field.
l White ---- basically no other impurity substance.
l Red ---- -- it is made from Fe 3+.
l Green----- it is made from Gr (>2%).
l Black -----it is made of it is made from Gr (>2%) and Fe 2+.
l Yellow-----it has Tan.
l Purple------it has Cr , Fe and Co.
2. Simply distinguish value methods
l A quality --- a. green , purple color easy to find in the market;
b. when hit lightly, it soundly melody;
c. it is a little heavy than the stone.
l B quality--- a. it will lose the freshness and has flaw. Because this kind has some black spot, it has been made processed and filled some acid.
----- b. low density and not heavy. It sounds not clear when lightly hit.
l C quality ----a. the green color will become red or colorless when using Charles jadeite filter.
l D quality-----there are two kinds stone which can substitute the jadeite.
a. Malaysis jade and dushan jade and so on. It is easy to distinguish these from jadeite. The first, such jade has low hardness. And second they are little density.
b. Green grass and plastic. These substitute has freshless color very light and low density.
3. Three classes jadeite
l Super good----perfect color , freshness, transparency and no flawness. It difficult to get in the world and priceless,
l Commercial---a little flawness. Especially the green color not so smooth. Much expensive.
l Common----light green color. Not smooth. non-transparent. Flawness, many art work use this kind jadeite.
